    2010/ 7/12 09:00:30 nProtect GameGuard : This is a default set up error for the game guard. Restart the pc or close all other programs which could make conflict.
    Screenshots: The maximum allowable size of all attachments per ticket is 3 MB. There is no limit on individual attachments. the last file attached that exceeded the limit will automatically removed.

    If you tend to experience this problem, may we suggest you to conduct a fresh or clean installation of your game client. Fresh installation means deleting your previous game folder under the Program Files after un-installation. It is recommended that you ensure that there's no trace of the previous client by proceeding to the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs and choose to uninstall/remove “Flyff“ Online. Then reinstall the game client using the latest CD installer "Harmonin". And lastly, disable any firewalls that go up while patching.

    1. They immediately closed my report, wala man lang sila tinanong.
    2. The system is indeed clean, newly installed OS and drivers, of course that includes an updated DirectX.
    3. Nag triple boot ako, WinXP SP2, WinXP SP3 at Win7. Sorry ayaw ko sa Vista. This particular error happened only sa mga WinXP.
    4. No AVs, No Firewalls, direct sa modem, ang connection - PLDT.
    5. Clean installation? Harmonin CD? Binigyan ba nila ang lahat ng players ng ganyang klaseng CD? Ang pagkaka-alam ko meron sila sa FTP at Torrent...
    6. Kulang ba ung report ko sa kanila? Yes, somehow. Pero bakit di na nila ako tinanong? Wala man lang interaction between sa akin at sa sumagot sa report ko.
    7. Mag report pa ba ako sa CS page? Baka hindi na. :(






    DATE AND TIME SETTINGS or (CODE:0 RESULT:4)



    Date and Time Settings


    1. Uninstall Flyff.
    2. Restart your computer
    3. Set your Time Zone to (GMT+08:00) Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Urumqi
    4. Put the correct time.
    5. Restart your computer
    6. Double check your Time and Time Zone (If Time and Time Zone is incorrect, repeat all steps.)
    7. Install Flyff

    Solved Problems

    * ERROR: File Not Found CODE:0 RESULT:4
    * Old Version of Client





    Running Neuz in Sunkist Mode









    The aim here is to create a new shortcut in the desktop to by pass all the patches. We will be using manual patches to update our client. After creating the new shortcut, you will use this new shortcut instead of the original shortcut.
    The Steps

    1. Open Windows Explorer to your Flyff installation folder.
    2. Point your mouse pointer to Neuz.exe and hit RIGHT CLICK.
    3. Select Send To
    4. Select Desktop (create Shortcut)
    5. Go to your desktop and look for the icon Shortcut to Neuz.exe.
    6. Right Click on it and Select Properties.
    7. Add " sunkist" in the target. That is space sunkist.

    8. To rename the shortcut, on the General Tab change Shortcut to Neuz.exe to Neuz Sunkist Mode
    9. Press Appy
    10. Press OK

    Known Issues

    Resource was Falsified

    You need to patch your client every after maintenance, either by auto patch or by manual patch.
    If your client is a newly installed, I recommend using the Full Manual Patch.

    Auto-Exit After GameGuard Authentication

    You need to manually update your GameGuard files.

    ERROR: File Not Found Code:0 Result:4

    DO NOT use the original Flyff shortcut, instead, use the newly created Neuz Sunkist Mode shortcut.

    Old version of client

    Same as Resource was Falsified error.
    You need to patch your client every after maintenance, either by auto patch or by manual patch.
    If your client is a newly installed, I recommend using the Full Manual Patch.

    list.txt.gz

    Every week and whenever available, I will upload the latest copy of the file to this mediafire folder, click here.
    The Patch Server

    1. Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\xampp\htdocs\
    2. Create a subfolder - NeuroSpace.
    3. Inside NeuroSpace, create another folder - VERSION6.
    Your directory structure should look like this C:\xampp\htdocs\NeuroSpace\VERSION6\
    4. Paste here the latest copy of list.txt.gz obtained above.
    Again, the structure should look like this C:\xampp\htdocs\NeuroSpace\VERSION6\list.txt.gz
    5. Check whether list.txt.gz is now live.
    Open your browser and type http://localhost/NeuroSpace/VERSION6/list.txt.gz
    If everything was successful, you should be able to download a copy of your list.txt.gz.
    If not, you should Start Apache in your XAMPP Control Panel.

    Patching Your Client

    1. Open notepad.txt. Vista and Win7 users must run it as administrator.
    2. Open hosts here, C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\
    3. Add 127.0.0.1 patch.flyff.com.ph in the last line.
    4. Save it.
    5. DO NOT close notepad yet.
    6. Open Flyff.exe and let it patch.
    There should be no patches since you already extracted the manual patch to your Flyff Installation Folder.
    7. DO NOT click Start yet.
    8. Back to notepad
    Put # before 127.0.0.1 patch.flyff.com.ph
    It should now look like this #127.0.0.1 patch.flyff.com.ph
    9. Save it and close notepad.
    10. Click Start.

    I am conducting a research about this file.

    Flyff.exe uses list.txt to determine which files needs update and which files are missing in your system. When outdated files or missing files are determined, Flyff.exe will try to download it from the Patch Server, http://patch.flyff.com.ph/. If the Patcher cannot locate the file in the Patch Server, it will return an error message, "ERROR: File Not Found CODE:0 RESULT:4."

    Using HiJackThis to Solve Problems in FlyffPH



    Overview

    Trend Micro HijackThis is a free utility that generates an in depth report of registry and file settings from your computer. HijackThis makes no separation between safe and unsafe settings in its scan results giving you the ability to selectively remove items from your machine. In addition to this scan and remove capability HijackThis comes with several tools useful in manually removing malware from a computer.

    IMPORTANT: HijackThis does not determine what is good or bad. Do not make any changes to your computer settings unless you are an expert computer user.


    Advanced users can use HijackThis to remove unwanted settings or files.



    Several Problems that could be solved:

    * Game Hack Was Found
    * Auto-Exit
    * Others


    Using HijackThis

    To analyze your computer, start HijackThis and run a scan. See the Quick Start Guide [link to Quick Start, FAQs and Feedback] for help in running a scan. HijackThis will display a list of areas on your computer that might have been changed by spyware. Do not change any settings if you are unsure of what to do. There are many popular support forums on the web that provide free technical assistance by using HijackThis log files to diagnose an infected computer.

    Not an expert? Just save the HijackThis report and let a friend with more troubleshooting experience take a look. A large community of users participates in online forums, where experts help interpret HijackThis scan results to clean up infected computers.

    Getting Started

    1. Download and install HijackThis. You will need to download both the Installer and Executable files.
    * Download Installer
    * Download Executable
    2. Once installed, open HijackThis by clicking Start > Program Files > HijackThis and click the button labeled "Do a system scan only".
    3. Once the scan is complete, copy your results and post it to my FaceBook page and I will provide information on which items are causing your problems and how to remove them safely from your computer.

    Note: Once the scan is complete, the scan button will read "Save log". You may save the log file to your PC. Once you select where you would like to save the file, it will open in your system's default text editor. Typically this application is Notepad.










    Software Conflicts



    AVG9

    If you are experiencing GameGuard problems such as Game hack was found, Disable Resident Shield. Remember to turn it back on after playing.

    1. Open Resident Shield from Security components and status overview.
    2. Uncheck Resident Shield Active
    3. Save Settings


    F-Secure Internet Security

    If you are running FlyFF and F-Secure Internet Security, and you’re getting a GameGuard related, you need to configure Application Control to have FlyFF included.

    To do this, please do the following:

    1. Right click on the F-Secure icon in the task bar (bottom right of the screen)
    2. Select “Open F-Secure Internet Security 2010”.
    3. Click on "Settings"
    4. Find "Network connection" on the left list and click it.
    5. Select Application Control ( Make sure your on "Parent Active" if you have Parental Control on)
    6. Click on "Add"
    7. Click on "Browse"
    8. Go to Computer, Local disk, Program files, Gpotato and finally Flyff
    9. Click on Flyff.exe
    10. Where it says "Action or new connection attempt" select allow for both Outbound and Inbound.
    11. Click on ok
    12. Repeat Steps 6 and 10 but this time add Neuz.exe and after that GameGuard.des
    13. Try to play Flyff!

    Google Chrome

    Opening Google Chrome while playing Flyff causes the game to exit. Avoid Google Chrome for the time being, uninstall it for the game's sake.

    Kaspersky Antivirus

    If you have the Proactive Defense enabled in Kaspersky, you may get errors from Kaspersky that a root kit is running and that it is malicious. To add FlyFF to your trusted zone list, please follow the following steps:

    1. Right Click the settings icon in the task bar on your computer, and select "open Kaspersky Anti-Virus"
    2. Click on "Protection" on the left hand side.
    3. Click on "Setting" on the top right corner.
    4. Select "Threat and exclusions" from the left side list which is under Options.
    5. In the right part of the window click the Trusted zone button.
    6. Select the "Trusted applications" tab from the top.
    7. Click on Add
    8. Check all 4 boxes in properties
    9. Click browse and select "Browse..."
    10. Navigate to your flyff folder (usually it's C:\program files\gpotato\flyff\) and select FlyFF.exe
    11. Click ok.
    12. Repeat Steps 5-9 but choose Neuz.exe
    13. Click ok.
    14. Click ok so all Kaspersky windows have been closed.
    15. Try to play flyff!

    McAfee Antivirus/SecurityCenter/Firewall

    Here's a situation that many users are reporting:

    When attempting to connect to the patch server, you get a CODE:12029 RESULT:2 Error message from the patch client.

    This is caused if you have your Mcafee Firewall settings set too high.

    Reducing your security level inside of your firewall setting for McAfee Security Center will fix this issue.

    If you would like to ensure you never get these kind of problems, please follow the following directions:

    1. Open McAfee SecuirtyCenter from the start menu.
    2. Click on “Internet & Network”.
    3. Click on Configure
    4. Click Advanced.
    5. On the left hand side, choose “Program Permissions”.
    6. If you see Flyff.exe and Neuz.exe in the list, click on them and select “Delete Program Permission”
    7. Click on “Add Allowed Program”
    8. Navigate to C:\Program Files\gPotato\FlyFF and add FlyFF.exe.
    9. Ensure that FlyFF.exe is set to “Full Access”. If it isn’t select it and click on “Grant Full Access”
    10. Click on “Add Allowed Program”
    11. Navigate to C:\Program Files\gPotato\FlyFF and add Neuz.exe.
    12. Click on Ok.

    FlyFF should now patch and play without any problems.

    Please note that if your Security Level is set to Lockdown, you will still be unable to play even with FlyFF set as a trusted program.
    McAfee Antivirus and “Game Hack Found" Errors

    If you have McAfee Antivirus installed and while playing FlyFF you are getting “Game Hack Found” error messages from GameGuard, you may have a conflict related to the McAfee Redirector service.

    Please try this to see if it helps.

    1. Click Start> Run.
    2. Type in msconfig and press OK.
    3. Click the Services Tab
    4. Find the service labeled “McAfee Redirector Service”.
    5. Uncheck this service, and hit OK.
    6. Windows will ask you to restart your PC to confirm this.
    7. Select yes, and restart your computer.
    8. Attempt now to play flyff and see if you still get game hack found message.

    If you don’t get the message, you’ve solved your issue; however, your McAfee security Center may not function completely as a result. To ensure your computer is fully protected, please re-enable the Redirector Service once you are done your flyff session.
    Norman Antivirus

    Norman Antivirus is known to classify GameGuard as a Trojan/virus. To prevent it from causing problems, please follow the following directions

    1. Right click on Norman SecuritySuite and select Open.
    2. Click on "Antivirus & Antispyware".
    3. Under "Antivirus & Antispyware" select "Exclude List".
    4. Where it says "Exclude files from scaning" type this in C:\Program Files\Gpotato\Flyff\
    5. Click ok
    6. Finally Click on "Add To List".
    7. You should see under "Exclude" C:\Program Files\Gpotato\Flyff\
    8. Try to play Flyff!

    Gameguard will now no longer flag as a virus.

    Outpost Firewall

    If you're using Outpost Firewall and run into an issue with playing flyff. Please try the following:

    1. Exit Outpost by right-clicking on Outpost system tray icon and selecting Exit.
    2. Open Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> Notepad.
    3. Copy the following strings in the notepad window:
    * C:\PROGRAM FILES\GPOTATO\FLYFF\GAMEGUARD\GAMEGUARD.DES
    * C:\PROGRAM FILES\GPOTATO\FLYFF\GAMEGUARD\GAMEMON.DES
    * C:\PROGRAM FILES\GPOTATO\FLYFF\NEUZ.EXE
    * C:\PROGRAM FILES\GPOTATO\FLYFF\FLYFF.EXE
    4. Press Enter so that the cursor would be at the beginning of the next line.
    5. Then select File - Save As, select 'All files' in 'Save as type' combo-box, and type wl_hook_data.cfg as file name.
    6. Save the file to the directory Outpost is installed at (C:\PROGRAM FILES\AGNITUM\OUTPOST FIREWALL\)
    7. Reboot your PC.

    PC Tools Spyware Doctor

    Some users are getting a default setup error or game hack found error caused by Running PC Tools Spyware Doctor.

    This guide will help you adjust Spyware Doctor to not cause these problems.

    1. Open Spyware Doctor (double click the icon in the system tray).
    2. Click on "IntelliGuard"
    3. Select "Process Guard"
    4. Click on Disable this Guard.
    5. Attempt to Play FlyFF.

    If you're able to play, then Spyware doctor is the cause of the problem. That means you need to add all the flyff and gameguard processes to your exclusions list in order to have process guard enabled without conflicting with flyff.

    Here's how to do that:

    1. From the process guard area (Follow steps 1-3 above) click on "Manage Exclusions".
    2. Click on Add.
    3. Select the first drop down and choose "File on Disk".
    4. Click on the "..." button near the second section to browse for your flyff folder.
    5. Navigate to the FlyFF Folder (usually c:\program files\gpotato\flyff\) and select Neuz.exe.

    Repeat Step 2-5 for the following files:

    1. FlyFF.exe
    2. Gamemon.des (inside the GameGuard Folder).

    You should now be able to play FlyFF with Spyware Doctor Enabled.
    SUPERAntiSpyware Professional

    This guide will help you configure SUPERAntiSpyware Professional to correctly work with GameGuard.

    As a lot of advanced antispyware applications have, SUPERAntiSpyware has a "Real Time Protection" type guard, that will not get along with GameGuard.

    To configure things, please do the following:

    1. Ensure flyff is closed.
    2. Right click on the bug icon in your task bar (bottom right) and uncheck "Enable Real-Time Protection".

    Play FlyFF as normal.

    When you are done playing, Repeat steps 1 and 2 to re-enable real time protection.
    Windows Live OneCare

    This guide is for any user who is having a Default Setup Error and has Windows Live OneCare Installed!

    If you are using Windows Live OneCare, you are most likely now getting a default setup error.

    To fix this, please do the following:

    1. Click on the live OneCare icon in the bottom right. It should look like a circle with the number 1 in it.
    2. Click on "open windows live onecare"
    3. On the left hand side click on "Change Settings".
    4. Click on the "Viruses and Spyware" tab.
    5. Click on the Exclusions button at the bottom.
    6. Click on Add Folder.
    7. Navigate to C:\program files\gpotato\ and add the FlyFF folder as your exclusion.
    8. Click ok, and apply, and try to play Flyff!

    If you're still not able to play, you most likely blocked flyff from the live onecare firewall.

    To fix this please do the following:

    1. From the settings menu (step 1-3 above) make sure you're on the "Firewall" tab.
    2. Click on "Configure firewall"
    3. Click on advanced Settings.
    4. Anything listed here that says FlyFF.exe, Neuz.exe or Gamemon.des and is set to Blocked, please set to Allow.
    5. If you're still not sure, click on Add.
    6. Navigate to your flyff folder and click on Neuz.eze, make sure its set to Allow.
    7. Repeat Step 5 & 6 for FlyFF.exe.

    You should now be able to play!
