I haven't visited Atlava in a while, but there is something I miss a lot about it: the chat box.

One of the greater aspects of the chat box was that you could come on Atlava and already feel attached to the community as you could communicate with it instantly.

If there is, however, a reason why it is still gone, I'd like to know as well.

    Thank you.

Maybe if Muazam came back, we'd actually get some players back like before. Having a chat box right now won't help the new people become closer with the community, we'd only end up with spammers, beggars and bots that will just advertise. Maybe if we had more moderators, things could get cleaned up and ect.

The chat box was removed because no one was using it and it took up memory space I believe that is Muazam's reasoning for it.

On another note I don't see how moderation has anything to do with his question.

i was wondering where the chat box went as well...it did kinda get the community communicating alot better rather then posting in a thread...

    it was a nice feature

You're right. Back in the old days of Atlava, the community use to be really active in the chatbox.

Everything seem to die a little in the 2010 summer's end, and i came back a few months later and the chatbox was removed and the community was a former shell of it's older self.

As for the moderation, i feel Muazam needs to reinstate need mods, remove old ones.
I feel like part of my inactivity was because this section was constantly being abused, but i only have the power to close threads.. not to delete, warn, edit, and ban..

    Exactly,

The thing that most don't understand is that yes we can close threads but what's the point if the user is going to come back and post the same thing over and over again. It's just going to make things harder on us. Without the power you stated it's really useless to do anything right now. Especially with all the spam bots going around.

ChatBox will bring back alot of people trust me one of the reasons i stopped using atlava because i have to post a thread just to ask a question or comment on a thread and wait like hours or a whole day to get a reply (doesnt matter about inactivity) or being active) just with the chatbox i could come on atlava and use it to talk and ask a questions or questions like i used too. btw i had another atlava account but forgot pw like a noob if your asking how i know about chatbox and i just joined ;)
